Kevin O’Brien has over 25 years experience in the trustee and legal fields and specialises in Estate Planning.
Kevin is the principal of Landmark Legal and he and the legal team work very closely with their clients and other professional providers to provide the complete legal solution to your problems.
Kevin’s areas of interest and expertise come under the umbrella of Family Wealth Management and Estate Planning. A focus is on structuring for property investors and developers, Wills and Estate Planning, Trusts and SMSF, Estate Litigation and Administration with the over aching view to retain asset protection for the family assets and intergenerational wealth transfer in the most effective way.
Kevin works closely with accountants and financial planners to achieve client estate planning needs, as well as advising on how to best structure property and business purchases along with all transactions involved around those strategies.

Shirley Driver – Family Law
Shirley qualified as a barrister in the UK in 1993 and went on to enjoy a stimulating career as a prosecutor with the Crown Prosecution Service based in central London. Shirley managed a heavy and varied caseload covering all areas of crime including kidnapping, rape, gang robberies, fraud, human trafficking and child abuse. The opportunity to work for the Office of the Department of Public Prosecutions in Sydney for a year led ultimately to a permanent move to Australia for Shirley and her family in 2011.
Shirley has qualified as a solicitor in New South Wales and chosen to focus on the area of family law, whilst maintaining interest and skills in criminal matters . Shirley enjoys finding practical, cost effective solutions for her clients when trying to resolve disputes as to property settlement and the care of children following the breakdown of relationships. Shirley is an effective communicator and likes to establish a good working relationship with her clients. She understands that family breakdown can be extremely stressful and upsetting for all concerned. For that reason Shirley aims to offer a service which is fast, efficient and affordable.

Roelof Stols – Commercial / Property Law
Roelof brings extensive experience to Landmark Legal in the areas of commercial and property law and litigation. Roelof practised in South Africa for over 20 years before moving to Australia in 2011. After originally settling in QLD, Roelof moved to NSW in 2016. Roelof practised on the NSW Central Coast, before joining Landmark Legal in 2019.
Roelof’s area of interest and practice include: purchase and sale of business, commercial and retail leasing matters, property transactions, property developments and subdivisions, off the plan property contracts, joint venture and share holder agreements, commercial disputes and litigation.
Ability to provide services for clients in NSW and QLD based transactions is added to with Roelof’s extensive experience and knowledge of South African and international trade law and practices.

Madaline brings to Landmark Legal sound knowledge and experience in our property and conveyancing services. Having worked briefly in the real estate world.
Madaline continued that love of property and moved to the legal environment in 2016 to commence work in the area of conveyancing. She is currently studying for her degree in conveyancing with view to becoming a fully qualified Conveyancer in 2021.
In the meantime, Madaline works closely with our Solicitors to manage many of the day to day aspects of our conveyancing files. She has a can do attitude and strives to provide a positive experience for all of our clients, with focus on making sure all aspects of a transaction run smoothly.
Carla has worked with and for Kevin since 2012 in providing legal and conveyancing services to clients. Carla’s extensive experience in all areas of conveyancing and general legal services allow her to provide excellent client service results in a timely and professional manner.
Aside from conveyancing, Carla also assists with commercial leasing and general estate management matters.
Carla aspires to reach her full potential at Landmark Legal and wishes to expand her knowledge to provide clients the best service and outcomes for the respective matters.
Deborah Jones – Administration Assistant
Deb has been with Landmark Legal since 2016 and provides administrative assistance to the solicitors in regard to Estate Planning needs.
Deb will liaise with clients to arrange appointments, draft documents and ensure a client’s experience in finalising their Estate Planning needs is complete.
